Gymnasium Roof
The gym roof is now covered providing nice shade for the construction crew and preventing any delays due to rain.
Second Story Track
The decking for the track is not in place. Who is ready to run the track and take in the beautiful views?

Workers are wrapping up the roofing installation but also taking time to enjoy the views. Don’t look down.
Fitness Room Framing
Framing continues throughout the facility. The pool entrance and fitness rooms are taking shape.
Lap Pool Tiles
Check out the new tiles on the lap pool! This 12-lane pool is going to provide some color and fun for the community.
Solar Shade and Splash Pad
Can you picture you and your family relaxing in the shade and enjoying the splash pad. This splash pad is unique in our community as it will sit in about a foot of water, how cool.

Entrance Overhang
The front entrance continues to take shape and truly sets the grandiose tone for what you can expect from your facility experience.
Gym and Track
Ready, set, go! The center’s floating track is coming along. Oh, and did we mention the gymnasium now has a roof?
AC Unit
What’s cooler than being cool? Ice cold! There was never any doubt that the Marana Community and Aquatic Center would be the coolest place to be next summer, but, if there was doubt, we got the biggest AC unit we could find.
Pool Plumbing
Ever wonder what it takes to move all the pool water and keep our pools clean? The answer is plumbing, and lots of it.
Rec Pool Splash Pad
The Splash Pad features have arrived and will soon be installed. Look at these fun colors. Get ready Marana!
West Parking Solar
What’s better than covered parking? How about covered parking that generates renewable energy! The facility is slated to have 1,212 oversized solar panels, 720 panels are currently installed.

Curved Steel
Crews are starting to install the steel that will serve as the foundation for the second-story track. This track will feature three lanes and equal a tenth of a mile.
Multipurpose Rooms
The future site of the facility’s two multipurpose rooms now has a roof. Each room will be almost 1,000-sqft and be able to serve 50 people each. The program opportunities are endless!
Fitness Rooms
Crews have poured even more concrete, but this time for the second-story fitness rooms. The second story will feature two large fitness rooms geared at offering a variety of group fitness classes.
Competition Pool Gutters
The overflow gutter system is now installed on the competition/lap pool. This gutter system is ideal for competitive groups and allows the competition pool to be labeled as a “fast pool”.
Recreation Pool
Shotcrete is complete on the recreation pool. Crews will now strip the forms and begin backfilling around the pool. What feature are you most excited about?
Beam Signing
Town Staff, Town Council, and our trade partners celebrated the amazing progress with a beam signing ceremony. Not impressed? Did we mention these steel workers are over 40ft in the air!

Crews safely defy gravity as they frame the second story fitness rooms.
Office Space for Staff
Parks and Recreation staff are getting excited about their soon to be home. This space will house admin as well as lifesaving staff.
Rec Pool Rebar and Forms
Rebar is in place on the recreation pool structure. Next up is the two-week process of shotcrete. Progress is going swimmingly.
Comp Pool is Formed
Wow! Just look at the amount of shotcrete work that went into forming the future 12 lanes competition pool. She looks almost seaworthy.
Community and Aquatic Center Site Progress
All corners of the site are being developed from parking lot to the east gymnasium walls. Can you picture your first visit here next summer?

COMMUNITY ROOM VIEWS
Block is being completed on the community room doors that will lead to the 1,000sqft courtyard.
LOCKER ROOMS AND RESTROOMS
The first-floor roofing is now in place at what will soon be 2,800sqft of lockers rooms.
STEEL COLUMNS AND BEAMS
With the block almost complete, it is time to frame the facility with steel columns and beams.
DUDE, WHERE’S MY CAR?
The main parking lot is almost prepared for pavement. In total, the facility will have over 200 parking spaces. Sweet!
COMPETITION POOL PROGRESS
Shotcrete on the Competition Pool is now complete. Soon the forms will be removed to reveal the true shape of this amenity.

Ever wonder what it takes to circulate water on a commercial pool? The recreation pool has its plumbing mapped out and ready to fill with rock.

BRICK BY BRICK
Walls go vertical in what is soon to be the future office of Parks and Recreation staff.
CONCRETE SMOOTH AS GLASS
The foundation for the center’s three gym floors took a total of 271 cubic yards of concrete. Hoop, there it is!
COMPETITION POOL REINFORCED WITH REBAR
This pool has been excavated, formed, plumbed, filled with rock and lined with rebar. This masterpiece will become the center’s 12 lane competition pool.
RECREATION POOL TAKING SHAPE
This feature will include a lap pool, therapeutic resistance channel, splash pad, and a zero-edge entry. Who’s ready to cool off Marana?
