Marana recognizes Drowning Impact Awareness Month

Mayor Honea presents proclamation to Marana Aquatics Staff and the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona

MARANA- The Town of Marana has proclaimed August 2024 as “Drowning Impact Awareness Month.”

Mayor Ed Honea presented Aquatics Staff and the Drowning Coalition of Arizona with a proclamation during the council meeting on August 20, 2024.

Throughout the month of August, the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona collaborates with other groups to raise awareness about water safety and efforts to reduce the risk of drowning.

The Town of Marana is urging all community members to participate in these drowning prevention efforts.
