Interim Town Manager Terry Rozema has appointed Jane Fairall as Town Attorney at the Town of Marana effective November 21. She will fill the role previously held by Frank Cassidy, who has retired after 17 years of service.
“I am honored for the opportunity to serve the Town of Marana in this new capacity,” said Fairall.
Fairall has served as Deputy Town Attorney for the Town of Marana since 2005, where she provided legal advice to a wide variety of Town departments, Town Council, Town officials, and Town boards and commissions. Prior to joining the legal team, she served as Legal Counsel to the Tucson Unified School District. She worked in the Tucson City Prosecutor’s Office for eight years before that, earning the award of Arizona Misdemeanor Prosecutor of the Year in 1999 from the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council.
Fairall graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1992 with a bachelor of arts degree in political science. She graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1995. She is a Tucson native and lives in Pima County with her husband.
“Ms. Fairall is a highly respected member of the Marana team and I’m confident her knowledge, experience and leadership will serve our organization and community very well,” said Interim Town Manager Rozema.
