MARANA- The Town of Marana is welcoming a familiar face to lead the Town Clerk's office.
Town Manager Terry Rozema has appointed David Udall as Town Clerk at the Town of Marana effective September 10, 2022.
“I am honored to serve the Town of Marana in this new capacity, and I will give it my very best,” said Udall.
Udall will continue carrying out his duties related to his previous position while serving as the Town Clerk. His working title will be Town Clerk / Assistant Town Attorney.
“David Udall stepped in to help out in the Clerk’s Office during a period of transition and he has done such an incredible job in four weeks that people within the organization and from the Council have asked me if he could remain in the Clerk’s office,” said Rozema.
Udall has served as an attorney in the Legal Department for the Town of Marana since 2018, where he provides legal services to various Town departments. Prior to joining the Town, he worked as a prosecutor for the City of Tucson for three years and was nominated for the Rising Star Prosecutor of the Year award. Before that, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel A. Thumma at the Arizona Court of Appeals in Phoenix.
“I have witnessed first-hand the transformation of the [Clerk’s office] and seen how quickly and seemingly effortlessly [Udall] has taken on the mantle of leadership…. I say seemingly because I can’t see his feet paddling non-stop beneath the surface of the water,” Rozema went on to say.
Udall graduated from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education. He graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in 2014. Udall is an Arizona native and lives in Pima County with his wife and children.
