MARANA - In response to the White House’s recommendation to limit social gatherings to no more than ten people, the Town of Marana has implemented alternate staff operations effective March 17, 2020 to reduce employee exposure. Many Town employees will be working from home, and a reduced staff will be present at the Marana Municipal Complex and other Town facilities. Municipal services will be limited to essential services for safety and public health. Signage will be posted at Town buildings and facilities directing visitors on how to receive services with limited person-to-person contact.

COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS)
Per the CDC, the virus that causes COVID-19 is spread between people who are in close contact with one another and through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Older adults and people who have severe underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications.
