Nighttime is the right time to beat the heat and experience the desert's unique beauty! The desert is particularly enchanting at night and even more so under the glow of a full moon. Enjoy breathtaking views of the night sky and surrounding cityscape.

We will be hiking to the Cayton Line Shack on Wild Burro Trail (Purple trail on the Hiking the Tortolita Mountains trail map). This hike is approximately 3.5 miles long with very little elevation gain.

This will be a mellow hike with a slower pace so plan for 3 hours. Bring lots of water, wear suitable hiking shoes or boots, a headlamp or flashlight and meet at the Wild Burro Trailhead.
