MARANA- Residents concerned about possible flood risks during monsoon season can now access three self-filling sandbag locations throughout the Marana community. Locations are open seven days a week.

Sandbags will be limited to 20 per resident. Shovels are not provided.

They can be picked up at the following locations:

  • Marana Heritage River Park: 12280 N. Heritage Park Drive

  • Camino De Manana & Tangerine Road (Northeast Corner) : 4228 W. Tangerine Road

  • Silverbell Road & Linda Vista Boulevard (Southeast Corner) : 8057 W. Linda Vista Boulevard

Setting up sandbag locations is just one component of the Marana Public Works Department’s storm preparedness program, which also includes monitoring weather reports to determine flooding potential and assisting residents and community members as needed. Public Works crews are ready for response and recovery following extreme flood events.

If roadways become flooded, Public Works crews will mobilize barricades to dip crossings throughout the Town of Marana. Please do not drive around or cross barricaded streets. Barricaded streets are a sign that unsafe conditions exist. Most vehicles float and are swept downstream in as a little as six inches to one foot of water.

Remember: TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.
