Protecting your exposed water pipes, hose bibs and backflow devices can help reduce water lost due to damaged pipes.
If you are using foam insulation to protect your pipes, it is recommended that you do not tape foam tightly to the pipe because that will cause the foam to compress and diminish its freeze protection properties.
