The Town of Marana and its contractor, Pima Paving Inc., will be completing the following traffic enhancements:
• Constructing new sidewalks, upgrading existing curb ramps, and installing handrail and rock ground cover along the southbound side of North Silverbell Road from West Carefree Way to North Cortaro Road.
• Upgrading curb ramps at the east legs of the Silverbell/Carefree and Silverbell/Wildomar intersections.
• Upgrading curb ramps and median refuges at the Silverbell/Cortaro Intersection.
The project is scheduled to be finished by the end of November.
Construction crews will be working weekdays from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. During these hours, adjacent to active work areas, right-lane closures and isolated traffic control set-ups will be in place along Silverbell Road, at various intersecting side streets, and at the Silverbell/Cortaro Intersection. Directional signs and devices will detour vehicles around the work areas. Access to businesses will be maintained at all times.
For your safety and that of the contractor’s personnel, please comply with traffic control devices, flagging personnel, and/or detour signs.
Travel time through the project area may increase during construction so please adjust your schedule accordingly. Construction may restrict traffic lanes and create congestion. Taking alternate routes is suggested.
If inclement weather or other events cause delays, the work may be rescheduled without further notice.
