Eastbound exit ramp to Cortaro Road and eastbound Cortaro Road to close overnight June 16
Motorists on eastbound Interstate 10 in Marana should expect intermittent overnight ramp closures starting the night of Tuesday, June 14, while crews pave sections of the interstate adjacent to the ramps.
The eastbound off- and on-ramps at Tangerine, Avra Valley, Twin Peaks and Cortaro roads will be affected over about one week. Only one ramp will close at a time.
The work is part of a pavement life extension project.
The restrictions are scheduled between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night.
In addition, the eastbound I-10 exit ramp to Cortaro Road and eastbound Cortaro Road at I-10 will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday, June 16, to 5 a.m. the following morning for guardrail repairs.
All traffic on eastbound Cortaro Road will be directed to the eastbound frontage road toward Ina Road.
Westbound Cortaro Road will not be affected.
Traffic traveling the eastbound frontage road from Twin Peaks Road must turn right onto westbound Cortaro Road.
Motorists should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
