Friday, April 29, 2022 was the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day, and to celebrate, Marana Parks & Recreation staff planted a beautiful Tex-Fan Ash tree in the Courtyard at our Municipal Complex.

The Town of Marana has been designated “Tree City USA” by the Arbor Day Foundation for seven years. The Tree City USA program provides communities with a four-step framework to maintain and grow their tree cover. It also gives them an avenue to celebrate their work, showing residents, visitors, and the entire country that they’re committed to the mission of environmental change.
