MARANA- The Town of Marana has proclaimed November as “Lung Cancer Awareness Month.”
The Mayor issued a proclamation on October 18th recognizing the need for lung cancer research. The Mayor and Town Council are encouraging all residents to learn about lung cancer and early detection through lung cancer screening.
The town proclamation states that lung cancer is the second most common cancer and is the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide.
Lung Cancer Awareness month is observed annually in November to raise awareness about the disease and the need for additional research.
