ADOT: Eastbound I-10 traffic shift scheduled the night of Aug. 14

Originally published by Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

Motorists on eastbound Interstate 10 near Ruthrauff Road in Tucson should expect overnight lane and ramp restrictions Friday, Aug. 13, and Saturday, Aug. 14, for a traffic switch.

Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to a single lane each night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

On Friday night (Aug. 13), crews will make adjustments to the roadway striping, and on Saturday night, crews will shift traffic to a new, temporary lane configuration.

In addition, the eastbound entrance ramp from Sunset Road to eastbound I-10 will close Saturday night during the traffic shift. Motorists may follow the eastbound frontage road to Prince Road to access eastbound I-10.

The eastbound I-10 exit and entrance ramps at Ruthrauff Road/El Camino del Cerro will remain closed after the traffic shift.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

More information about the project to reconstruct the interchange of I-10 and Ruthrauff Road is available at azdot.gov/RuthrauffTI.
