Starting a business doesn’t have to be hard! Our new Business Development & Services page is where you can find information on business loans, permits, and both state and local resources.

With our concierge service, we can answer your questions and help you get your vision off the ground. We can assemble a team comprised of Town departments and utility providers based on your unique needs, who will then guide you through the various processes to meet your desired goals. Q: How do I get a business license? 

A: Head to our Business License page and choose what kind of business you have! There you’ll find a step-by-step on what you need before starting your license application, any applicable fees, required documentation, and renewal information.

Q: How do I create my business and marketing plans?

A: A mentor can be a great resource to help you develop business and marketing plans. SCORE is an organization that offers free business mentoring and education.

 

Q: What kinds of home improvement require a building permit?

A: Visit our “Do I need a permit?” page! It walks you through what kind of projects need a permit and which permits to fill out. Right now, you can also submit permits electronically.

Q: I want to expand my patio seating. What do I need to do?

A: The Town now offers a form to apply for expanded patio seating so that your businesses complies with COVID-19 accommodations. Find the form on our Development Services page here

 

Q: What do I do to be more involved with the local business community?

A: You can join the Marana Chamber of Commerce! They have ample opportunity to get involved through networking events, businesses education, and access to local and regional leadership. Visit MaranaChamber.com for more information.

 

Q: How do I obtain a liquor license? 

A: Applications must be applied through the State Department of Liquor Licenses and Control, and are then sent to the Town for additional review before consideration by the Marana Town Council. Visit the Marana Town Clerk’s Office for more information.
