Arizona's Crisis Contingency and Safety Net Fund offers relief to small businesses

Arizona’s Crisis Contingency and Safety Net Fund will be providing $10 million to go toward rent and mortgage assistance for Arizona small businesses that are required to pause operations due to Executive Order 2020-43. This includes  gyms, fitness centers, Series 6 and 7 liquor license holders, and water parks; and may change or be expanded by the time the application launches next week.

Through a partnership with the Local First Arizona Foundation, the newly developed Arizona Small Business Rent and Mortgage Relief Grant program will help struggling small businesses meet their rent or mortgage obligations, with a focus on those most in need and without access to other resources.

Applications will open next week, August 17, at www.localfirstaz.com/azsmallbizrent.

Grants will be prioritized for businesses with fewer than 50 current employees that are most in need of the funding to meet their rent or mortgage obligations, and do not have access to other financial support. The maximum award will be $25,000.
