Motorists on Cortaro Road in Marana should expect delays near Interstate 10 on Tuesday, Dec. 15, for traffic signal work.

Traffic will be directed by law enforcement and flaggers between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the east- and westbound ramps at I-10/Cortaro Road and the Union Pacific Railroad crossing.

Drivers may want to consider an alternate route, such as Ina Road or Twin Peaks Road during these hours.

Crews will be replacing the existing signal controller and cabinet, which will allow greater flexibility to manage traffic through the interchange in the future.

Drivers should proceed with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Schedules are subject to change based on weather and other unforeseen factors.
