Motorists who use eastbound Interstate 10 near Ruthrauff Road in Tucson should expect a major traffic switch overnight, Friday, Nov. 13. By the morning of Saturday, Nov. 14, eastbound I-10 traffic will use the new pavement on the west side of the I-10/Ruthrauff Road interchange.

To prepare for the shift, eastbound I-10 will be reduced to a single lane each night between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. starting Tuesday, Nov. 10. In addition, the entrance ramp from Sunset Road to eastbound I-10 will close the nights of Tuesday, Nov. 10, and Friday, Nov. 13.

Westbound I-10 will not be affected during this traffic shift. The westbound lanes are tentatively scheduled to shift the night of Friday, Nov. 20.

Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

More information about the project to reconstruct the interchange of I-10 and Ruthrauff Road is available at azdot.gov/RuthrauffTI.
