LOCATION:
This is an advance warning notification that Granite Construction Company (GCC), under contract with the Town of Marana, is scheduled to begin construction on the portion of Camino De Oeste between Tangerine Road and Moore Road, and also along Moore Road from Camino De Oeste to just east of Butterfly Mountain Drive. Construction is scheduled for completion by January 11, 2021.
Beginning November 2, 2020 through approximately January 11, 2021, Camino De Oeste will be closed between Rain Cloud Drive and Moore Road. Motorists are advised to use Thornydale Road or Dove Mountain Boulevard as alternate routes. Travel will be open from Tangerine Road to Rain Cloud Drive. However, motorists should watch for temporary shoulder closures.
Parking will not be allowed on the west shoulder of Camino De Oeste from November 2 through January 11, 2021 in order to allow for the safe completion of construction. Motorists are advised to travel with caution when construction activities are underway.
Granite will also have partial road closures with an alternate one-way flagging operation along Moore Road. These closures will be in place from the intersection of Camino De Oeste and Moore Road to 200 feet east of West Butterfly Mountain Drive. Traffic will be maintained through the area during work hours as a one lane restriction. The road will be opened to two-way travel every day after 3:30 PM. This may cause some delays for residents, so we recommend leaving early to ensure on-time arrival to your destination.
Construction operations will take place from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday except on major holidays.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to complete this important roadway improvement project. If there are any questions that arise during construction, please contact James Merrigan (520) 260-4385 or James.Merrigan@gcinc.com, Jake Robertson (520) 404-2582 or Jake.Robertson@gcinc.com or Tom Houle (520)-471-4604 at thoule@maranaaz.govWe look forward to working with you and encourage any feedback to ensure the Project Team can deliver a beneficial project to the entire community.
For your safety and that of the contractor’s personnel, please comply with traffic control devices, flagging personnel, and/or detour signs.
Travel time through the project area may increase during construction so please adjust your schedule accordingly. Construction may restrict traffic lanes and create congestion. Taking alternate routes is suggested.
If inclement weather or other events cause delays, the work may be rescheduled without further notice.
