ABOUT STAR-SPANGLED SPECTACULAR
The Town of Marana’s annual Star-Spangled Spectacular signature event will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, with fireworks scheduled for 9 PM. Free attractions include the Car Show, splash pad, field games, inflatables, vendors, exhibitors, Musical Instrument Petting Zoo and Creation Station for Kids. Enjoy diverse culinary options from over 35 food vendors and buy crafts in our Vendor Market.
Marana’s largest Signature Event is nestled behind the Arizona Pavilions shopping center and within the Continental Ranch neighborhood, making it the perfect event for residents to walk to or enjoy the fireworks from many vantage points.

EVENT PARKING OPTIONS
HANDICAPPED PARKING AT THE PARK
PARKING AT CROSSROADS PARK IS RESERVED FOR VEHICLES WITH HANDICAPPED PLATES AND TAGS ONLY. Most of the parking lot located at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park will be open to handicapped vehicles with a valid tag or plate and foot traffic at 4PM on the day of the event. Marana PD will be monitoring this parking lot for the duration of the event. There will also be (1) courtesy handicapped-accessible shuttle at each shuttle parking lot (see below).
EVENT PARKING & COURTESY SHUTTLES
New this year, the Town of Marana will provide two parking lots with FREE multiple 15-passenger shuttles running throughout the day. The designated lot to park at for the shuttle is Coyote Trail Elementary School (8000 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743) or at the former Urgent Care on Silverbell (now owned by MUSD) at 8333 N. Silverbell Road. Road signage will help you navigate to these lots.
SHUTTLE NOTES:
The first shuttle will depart at 4:15 PM from the school and the last shuttle will depart the park at 10:45PM.
There will be a security guard stationed at each parking lot for the duration of the event.
The estimated roundtrip journey from the park to the MUSD Parking Lot with traffic delays is 17 minutes. For Coyote Trails, that trip with delays is 13 minutes.
Be aware that there could be a longer-than-normal wait time due to the excessive traffic in the area before and after the event.
There will be (1) handicapped-designated shuttle assigned to each parking lot location in addition to the other shuttles that are running.

9PM FIREWORKS
The Town of Marana’s fireworks show is always the finale of a fantastic festival day!
FIND YOUR SPOT
Crossroads Park is Marana’s largest park at 49.8 acres. There is plenty of room for you to hunker down and find the perfect picnic/viewing spot for the duration of the festivities. Pro Tip: We recommend Field 2 (where the stage is located) and either of the two youth baseball/softball fields in the Southeast corner of the park.
SCOTTY FREEL & THE FLYING DIAMONDS (4:30 - 6:15PM)
For nearly five years, Scotty Freel & the Flying Diamonds have been considered to be the house band at popular Marana restaurant, Lil’ Abner’s and also regularly play nights The Maverick and Whiskey Roads. Scotty shares some of the lead vocal duties with young lead guitar 'Diamond,' Jake Weller, son of the bass player, Gavin. Randy Cheatham keeps the beat on the drums.
They have one of the most diverse country playlists you'll hear anywhere, with songs from Morgan Wallen, Chris Stapleton, Jon Pardi and Blake Shelton, ranging all the way to Strait, Cash, and Haggard. You could also by hear Justin Timberlake music, Ed Sheeran, Dire Straits, or Brian Setzer and Michael Bublé. They have strong vocal harmonies, high energy and just a love for playing for a crowd.
LITTLE HOUSE OF FUNK (6:45 - 8:45PM)
Little House of Funk is ready to delight Arizona audiences with its unique, high-spirited blend of R&B, Jazz, and Soul. Comprised of musicians from all over the country, LHOF opens up the door to their eclectic, yet comfortable musical house and welcomes you in for a little “WD-40 for the hips.”
SPLASH PAD
The “BEST OF THE NORTHWEST” Splash Pad at Crossroads Park will be open from 4-8PM during the event. It closes an hour earlier from the fireworks show at 9PM.
CAR SHOW
Presented by Obsessions Car Club
Enjoy the 40+ cars right in the middle of the festivities on the southside parking lot near the basketball court. Meeting new people and connecting with old friends is what Obsessions Car Club loves most about doing events.
VENDOR MARKET
Over 25 artisan vendors, non-profits. and exhibitors will be on site selling hand-made goods and promoting their businesses. You can find the market on the practice field next to Ramada 4 (across from Field 2 where the stage is located).

INFLATABLE EXPERIENCES
Have a blast on various free inflatable experiences on the North and South ends of the event which include sports inflatables, bouncy castles, and obstacle courses for all ages!
FAMILY LAWN GAMES
Check out the Family Lawn Games presented by Marana’s Sports & Wellness Team on the north end of the park by the sand volleyball courts. There will be water guns, cornhole, relays, and more!
