The outdoor nature play program is designed to foster a connection with the natural world. Through guided exploration and sensory activities, children are encouraged to engage with the environment around them.

Week 1 - Mountain Lion - we will explore building with rocks and other nature objects!

Book to share: “Creatures of the Desert World” by National Geographic Society

 

Week 2 - Northern Mockingbird - we will explore the sounds around us and make nature music!

Book to share: “The Other Way to Listen” by Byrd Baylor

 

Week 3 - Ornate Box Turtle - we will explore chemical reactions with pumpkin volcanoes!

Book to share: “Life in the Slow Lane: A Desert Tortoise Tale” by Conrad J. Storad

 

Week 4 - Pipevine Swallowtail - we will explore play dough and construct a pretend campfire!

Book to share: “Where do insects Live?” by Susan Canizares

 

Designed for children aged 1 to 8. must be accompanied by an adult.
