You will be sure to add new sightings to your personal birding list at this hotspot that is an interesting mix of Sonoran Desert and riparian habitats. Fall migration should be in full swing and El Rio Preserve is an excellent site to observe migrants, such as waterfowl, shorebirds, and songbirds, along with residents like wrens, flycatchers, and thrashers.
