MARANA- Another portion of the Chuck Huckelberry Loop will close on Monday, March 13, to all pedestrians and bicyclists.
The closure impacts the section of the Loop between Twin Peaks Road and the Wade McLean Neighborhood Park north of Cortaro Road. The closure will be in effect through late this year.
This closure is in place while the Pima County Wastewater Reclamation Department begins construction to install a new dual 24-inch pipe from the Continental Ranch Regional Pump Station, ultimately tying into the finished segment south of the Crossroads at Silverbell District Park between Cortaro and Ina Roads.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS CLOSURE:
(From the Pima County Wastewater Reclamation Department)
Loop access to Wade McLean Neighborhood Park will only be accessible from Cortaro Road or the Loop access point near Coyote Trails Elementary School.
The Loop access point from Silverbell Road, near Coyote Trails Elementary School will remain open only for southbound travel to Cortaro Road. There will be no access to Twin Peaks Road.
Northbound travelers from Cortaro Road will be required to either turn around at Wade McLean Neighborhood Park or continue westward along the pathway to Silverbell Road.
The Loop remains closed to all pedestrian and bicycle traffic from Twin Peaks Road north to the Blue Crossing Way access point. This section of the Loop pathway is scheduled to remain closed through May 2023.
