Construction has officially begun on the Marana Community & Aquatic Center, following the groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, October 20, located at 13455 N. Marana Main Street.

The Town of Marana is planning a new public art project that will honor the community’s heritage and natural beauty while also spotlighting a major recreation amenity.

Town Manager Terry Rozema sits down with Airport Superintendent Galen Beem to talk about the history of the Marana Regional Airport, its economic impacts, plans for the future, and what residents can do to address noise.

Seven months have passed since the Town of Marana Council approved a half-cent sales tax in October 2022 to fund the design and construction of a new multi-generational community center and aquatic center. Since then, Town staff has completed 65% of the design phase with Architekton and Abacus Project Management.  

The Town of Marana is thrilled to announce that Chasse Building Team has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the Town of Marana Community Center.

Concept and design for the new Marana Community Center is off to a strong start as Town of Marana leadership and Parks & Recreation staff met with the design team at Architekton to workshop ideas and look at different layouts for the new facility downtown.
