The Marana Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on October 30, 2024 at or after 6:00 p.m. at the Marana Municipal Complex located at 11555 W. Civic Center Drive, Marana, Arizona, to consider amending the Marana Land Development Code.
The proposed amendments would revise Marana Town Code (MTC) Chapter 17-3 “Administration and Enforcement” to add new paragraph F to section 17-3-1 (Amendment and rezoning) to comply with the newly-adopted Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 9-462.11. The proposed amendments require the Town to: (1) determine whether a zoning application is administratively complete within 30 days; (2) provide the applicant with a written notice that includes a comprehensive list of the specific deficiencies if the application is not complete; (3) determine whether a resubmitted application is administratively complete within 15 days; and (4) approve or deny a zoning application with 180 days after determining the application is administratively complete, with some specified exceptions.
