Police Chief Jeff Pridgett Inducted into Marana High Hall of Fame

MARANA- Marana’s own Chief Jeff Pridgett is now a member of the Marana High School Alumni Hall of Fame!
Chief Pridgett was inducted into the association’s 2025 Hall of Fame on Thursday, February 27, 2025, alongside former Arizona Representative Jennifer Burns.
Chief Pridgett is a proud native of the Town of Marana and has dedicated 22 years to serving his community through the Marana Police Department. He graduated from Marana High School in 1995 and was a multi-sport athlete before attending the University of Arizona.
Pridgett’s career with the department began in 2003, and he quickly established himself as a trusted leader, serving as a School Resource Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain before being promoted to the Chief of Police in 2024. He is also one of the founding members of the Pride 4 the Patch fitness program, instructing officers in wellness and resilience, and has been instrumental in the Marana Police Department’s community programs, including the Kids Academy and Citizens’ Police Academy.
In addition to his career in law enforcement, Chief Pridgett is a dedicated coach to young athletes in Marana. He has spent years coaching various sports including football, basketball and track across multiple school and recreational leagues. His commitment to youth development and community engagement reflects his deep-rooted passion for his hometown.
In 2023, he also attended the FBI National Academy in preparation for his role as Police Chief. As the town’s first homegrown and African American Police Chief, Pridgett continues to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community he proudly serves.
“I am honored by this recognition, and grateful for the opportunities that I have had to serve my community, both in law enforcement and as a mentor to our youth. Marana has always been my home and as Chief, I’m committed to continuing to strengthen the bond between our police department and the people we serve,” said Chief Pridgett.
