UPDATED: Town of Marana public meetings for traffic-related projects in Dove Mountain neighborhood

The Dove Mountain Blvd Traffic Sound and Noise Assessment, which began in mid-2024, has now been completed and is available for public access. This study was launched following a public meeting held in April 2024, where participants were introduced to key concepts of traffic-related sounds and noise, including their potential impacts and possible mitigation strategies. 

The report offers an overview of the project’s scope, provides background information on current conditions, identifies challenges within the assessed area, and presents recommendations for the relevant stakeholders.  View the report:

New Traffic Signal for the Dove Mountain Boulevard and Moore Road Intersection

Sound Assessment for Dove Mountain

Project Consultants and Town Staff provided a presentation on the ongoing sound assessment for Dove Mountain Boulevard. Attendees learned more about traffic sounds and noise and their potential impacts and mitigations.

Attendees were encouraged to provide input by filling out a questionnaire. Interested parties who did not attend the meeting are also encouraged to complete the questionnaire and send it to Project Manager Seth Chalmers at seth.chalmers@dibblecorp.com. Please submit your completed questionnaires by May 3rd, 2024.

The Town of Marana will be holding two public meetings for Dove Mountain residents concerning traffic-related projects. The meetings will be held in the Tortolita Room at the Highlands at Dove Mountain, 4949 W. Heritage Club Boulevard.

The first meeting, April 17 at 1 p.m., will be on the new traffic signal being designed for the Dove Mountain Boulevard and Moore Road intersection. The project is funded by the Highway Safety Improvement Program and is managed by Arizona Department of Transportation. Residents may attend this open-house-formatted meeting to learn more about the project.

The second meeting, held immediately after at 2 p.m., will be a workshop-style presentation on the ongoing sound assessment for Dove Mountain Boulevard. Residents may attend this meeting to learn more about traffic sounds and noise and their potential impacts and mitigations, followed by a Q&A and input from attendees.
