ADOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Overnight I-10 lane restrictions & ramp closures

UPDATE FROM ADOT: The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to prepare for nighttime lane restrictions and ramp closures on westbound Interstate 10 near Orange Grove Road in Tucson beginning tonight, Tuesday, Sept. 10, as work continues on the I-10 Ina to Ruthrauff roads widening project. 

Westbound traffic will be shifted off of the frontage road onto the newly completed mainline I-10 at Orange Grove Road beginning at 9 p.m. During the lane shift, drivers should prepare for lane restrictions between Sunset Road and Ina Road from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11. 

The westbound I-10 off-ramps at Orange Grove and Ina roads will be closed from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. Sept. 11. Motorists can use the Ruthrauff or Cortaro road exits as detours.


MARANA- The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is advising drivers to prepare for overnight lane restrictions and ramp closures on westbound Interstate 10 near Orange Grove Road.

According to ADOT, the restrictions and closures will go into effect on Monday, September 9, 2024 as work continues on the I-10 Ina to Ruthrauff roads widening project. 

Starting at 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, westbound traffic will be redirected from the frontage road to the newly completed westbound I-10 lanes at Orange Grove Road. This shift will include lane restrictions between Sunset Road and Ina Road from 9 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024.

The westbound I-10 off-ramps at Orange Grove and Ina roads will be closed from 12:01 a.m. to 4 a.m. on September 10, 2024. Drivers can detour using the Ruthrauff or Cortaro Road exits.

Schedules are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances and weather. Drivers should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
