ABOUT STAR-SPANGLED SPECTACULAR

The Town of Marana’s annual Star-Spangled Spectacular signature event will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park, with fireworks scheduled for 9 PM. Free attractions include the Car Show, splash pad, field games, inflatables, vendors, exhibitors, Musical Instrument Petting Zoo and Creation Station for Kids. Enjoy diverse culinary options from over 35 food vendors and buy crafts in our Vendor Market.

Marana’s largest Signature Event is nestled behind the Arizona Pavilions shopping center and within the Continental Ranch neighborhood, making it the perfect event for residents to walk to or enjoy the fireworks from many vantage points.

HANDICAPPED PARKING AT THE PARK

PARKING AT CROSSROADS PARK IS RESERVED FOR VEHICLES WITH HANDICAPPED PLATES AND TAGS ONLY. Most of the parking lot located at Crossroads at Silverbell District Park will be open to handicapped vehicles with a valid tag or plate and foot traffic at 4PM on the day of the event. Marana PD will be monitoring this parking lot for the duration of the event. There will also be (1) courtesy handicapped-accessible shuttle at each shuttle parking lot (see below).

EVENT PARKING & COURTESY SHUTTLES

Returning this year: The Town of Marana will provide two parking lots with FREE multiple 15-passenger shuttles running throughout the day. The designated lot to park at for the shuttle is Coyote Trail Elementary School (8000 N Silverbell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85743) or at the former Urgent Care on Silverbell (now owned by MUSD) at 8333 N. Silverbell Road. Road signage will help you navigate to these lots.

SHUTTLE NOTES:

1. The first shuttle will depart at 4:15 PM from the school and the last shuttle will depart the park at 10:45PM.
2. There will be a security guard stationed at each parking lot for the duration of the event.
3. The estimated roundtrip journey from the park to the MUSD Parking Lot with traffic delays is 17 minutes. For Coyote Trails, that trip with delays is 13 minutes.
4. Be aware that there could be a longer-than-normal wait time due to the excessive traffic in the area before and after the event.
5. There will be (1) handicapped-designated shuttle assigned to each parking lot location in addition to the other shuttles that are running.

Dogs are welcome at all Marana events if they are leashed and picked up after.

COOLERS, CHAIRS, BLANKETS, AND PICNICS ARE WELCOME!

Note: Glass Containers, Personal fireworks/sparklers, and BBQing in the park will NOT be permitted during the event. 

 

TIPS & AMENITIES FOR GUESTS

TIPS FOR THE DAY

• Check the WEATHER before you come.

• Plan on wearing very sturdy, and comfortable shoes as guests may encounter uneven, surfaces. A hat and sunscreen are recommended for the daytime, and a jacket is recommended in the morning as it will be chilly.

• Families: This is a family-friendly event with activities for all ages.

• Bring a small bag for candy!

• Stay behind the cones for your own safety.

• #MaranaDogLife: Dogs are welcome if they are leashed and picked up after. We recommend any dogs that attend Marana events are comfortable in large crowds. There will be animals in the parade.

COPPER CAFE OPEN FOR BREAKFAST

MHC Healthcare’s Copper Cafe will be OPEN again before the parade from 8-10AM for guests coming to line up on Marana Main Street. MHC Healthcare’s Copper Cafe is located on the first floor of Marana Main Health Center facing Marana Main Street.

Breakfast Menu will include Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit; Ham, Egg & Cheese Burrito, Bacon and Egg Bagel Sandwich, Assorted Muffins, Coffee, and Canned/Bottled Beverages. #SupportLocal and MHC Healthcare on Founders’ Day!

9PM FIREWORKS The Town of Marana’s fireworks show is always the finale of a fantastic festival day!

SPLASH PAD The “BEST OF THE NORTHWEST” Splash Pad at Crossroads Park will be open from 4-8PM during the event. It closes an hour earlier from the fireworks show at 9PM.
INFLATABLE EXPERIENCES Have a blast on various free inflatable experiences on the North and South ends of the event which include sports inflatables, bouncy castles, and obstacle courses for all ages!
FAMILY LAWN GAMES Check out the Family Lawn Games presented by Marana’s Sports & Wellness Team on the north end of the park by the sand volleyball courts. There will be water guns, cornhole, relays, and more!
CAR SHOW Presented by Obsessions Car Club Enjoy the 40+ cars right in the middle of the festivities on the southside parking lot near the basketball court. Meeting new people and connecting with old friends is what Obsessions Car Club loves most about doing events.
