Stormwater Management Program

The town of Marana is regulated under the Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) program. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) administers the program and has defined six minimum control measures for compliance.

  1. Public Education and Outreach
  2. Public Involvement and Participation
  3. Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination
  4. Construction Site Stormwater Runoff Control
  5. Control of Post-construction Site Runoff
  6. Pollution Prevention and Good Housekeeping

Stormwater Management Plan

The Town has prepared a Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) that has been adopted by the Town Council. The overall goal of the SWMP is to reduce pollutants to the maximum extent practicable within stormwater runoff.
