Animal Control

ACOvehicle.jpg

Our animal control division has three full-time and one part-time animal control officers (ACOs) to respond to animal issues within the Marana town limits.

Stray Dogs that are contained can be picked up by an ACO during business hours. It is not unlawful for cats to roam freely, therefore healthy stray cats will not be picked up for transport to the shelter.

Owner surrender of an animal: please contact the Humane Society at (520) 327-6088 ext. 111 to make an appointment. You can also visit the HSSA site. A $60 fee will apply to owner surrenders.

Please note, animals adopted from Pima Animal Care (PACC) can only be returned to PACC within the first 30-days. After that they must go to HSSA and are subject to the owner surrender fee.
